TOPA NEWS AND EVENTS FOR OUTDOOR AND TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHERS
Held in conjunctioin with the Summer Outdoor Retailer Trade Show in Salt Lake City, Utah.
History
In 2002, Harrison Shull and Tim Matsui put together the first TOPA (formerly Travel EP) meetings in conjunction with the Outdoor Reatiler Show held in Salt Lake City, Utah each August. Those meetings consisted of a panel discussion and a "Whine and Dine" get together. The purpose of those meetings was to educate photographers about industry standards and to bring photographers in the outdoor marketplace together so we could discuss ad improve the state of the industry.
The event went so well that we held similar meetings in 2004 and opened up the panel discussion to include photo buyers. In 2005, we included two digital workflow and self-promotion seminars, in addition to the Whine and Dine and panel discussion.
Our goal is to educate our peers on the changing industry standards and elevate the general business environment.
